I have SP2 at home on XP and have the scroll bar. Here at this very moment I'm writing from work.. with XP SP2.. and it works also. I have also at work monkeyed with the vA^ function just below the 'Advanced search' option. Try to see if that will force you to get a scroll bar by making it display maximum sized characters. It might force the scroll bar at the bottom if your font has been maxed out.. if it is maxed out.. make it smaller to check it out.

Post what you see?

I dont have anything listed below the advanced search option so im not sure what your talking about. must be some extra admin options..I had another idea. But after thinking about it that wont work either. I was thinking about screen resolution. But then remembered that all 3 of my computers use 1024x768...

Under the advanced search area Lordy there's an "A" just beneath it with an up and down arrow on either side, just click it and it will change the font size. It didnt give me the scroll bar though, my res is 1680x1050.

So the end result is that the font increase didn't help either.. hummm.. Well, I have looked at numerous sites for different errors but this is somewhat baffling with it being on 2 different OSes. That implies that it's the browser.. and not your computer. We, I think, can rule out the screen size setting. Zog has his maxed out to like the 1600x1200 or whatever.. and Slayer has his monitors set at 1024x768 on two different OSes (XP SP2/Vista SP1). So again, browser but not screen size per se. Just to be sure, Zog and Slayer set your screen size to 800x600 to see if the screen is still cut off or if it forces the horizontal scroll bar after the change. Also.. even if after the screen adjustment it doesn't fix it right away... I want you to reboot and start up Vista/XP with the 800x600 screen size. Then open up the forums and see if that had any affect after the reboot either. I've seen some really supid things with Windoze registry not actually taking effect until after a reboot even though the settings were adjusted you didn't see the result until the registry actually updated (that sometimes has required a reboot).

Oh.. yeah, one other thing too. Do you have those browsers set so that when you view a photo bigger than your screen resolution it automatically shrinks it to fit you current screen size? If so, uncheck or check that option to resize in your browser's settings. Then reboot.. and then open up a photo that is bigger than your normal screen.. do you get the scroll bars then?

well I tried the setting about resizing the photo if its to large and it didnt work. But I think we may be heading in the wrong direction. I like to look at the facts. The fact is Zog , I and Dq could view full size pictures in our old forums. ANother fact is that at least on my end, nothing on any of our computers have changed since that time. ANd the final fact is that the forums have indeed changed. The first question any debugger looks at is what has changed since it worked last. ANd the only thing has been these forums. So I really think thats where the problem lies.

I suppose that's one way of looking at it.. but we get back to the same problem. I have the same OS as some of the "problem" computers.. etc. I don't seem to experience what it is you report. As far as you concluding that the only thing that has changed is the forums, that's one conclusion that cannot be absolute. I don't know what software you have on those machines or what Zog has. Nor do I know what hardware you have.. it could just as easily be a video card issue at displaying the forums.. but since the forums have changed that just would imply an incompatibility with the hardware. I'm not rolling back the forums to the old set and dealing with the bots again.

If there isn't an end conclusion.. I suppose just resizing the photos would be a "solution" but not a "resolution."

Well I was not suggesting that you roll back the forums. Im just saying that the only change that has happened since we could view the full size picture was these forums. The kids and I visit another forum and have posted pictures recently and the pictures are viewed just fine. This problem is a odd one indeed. Your to Blame so your just gonna have to accept that.
