Wolf Server - Information

Either you are with us or you are not on our server.

Ping this and let me know what you get. It's located in Chicago and I have a good ping to it.
69.28.220.1 (if you don't know how to ping.. click Run, Open (in the box type: CMD)
then in the DOS window type: ping -t 69.28.220.1 (look at the TIME.. on average it should be less than 60.. probably even better)
Type in: exit (then press enter to close the window)

There is no point in paying for a server if you guys don't get low pings. I figured I'd try it for a month or two to see how it works for us/Recon Unit. Also, I'll be advertising Beer's Ventrillo server. I'll call to confirm if that's ok. I think it's only a 10 slot server but that should be enough to have fun on.

I want something with more than 16 public slots on it. I think I can get one with 24 to 28 but I think 28 will be my limit for the first month if it's reasonable on cost.

More details to follow.... I'd appreciate some positive feedback.

Slayer, I know you've seen this post. So I'll ask you directly, what are you pinging at? Are you currently playing the game or not? These forums are not dead.. you just aren't posting but I know you are reading. So.. if I get a server, are you going to play on it if we have people that play there?

What I've decided to do for now.. is that I'll hold off on getting a server. I just don't want to let go of the money unless they fix some of the serious bugs in the game.

well im pretty disappointed thus far in the number of people playing the game. We dont need more servers.Theres not enought people playing to fill the servers that are already out threre. God I think I counted and there was a total of about 200 people playing Wolfenstein in the the world,and we were 4 of those 200.lol..I hope more peeps srart playing or this may of been a bad buy.But I will say, Im having fun with it

i figure the number s will probably sky rocket today and tomorrow, ppl would wit till the week end to go somewhere tp buy the game and to play, il, guess we'll see, off to earn me some more moola in game lol.

IF it is anything from what I'm reading in the Official Wolf forums.. nothing but really pissed off people. There is one from Happy Penguins.. cannot remember his name offhand but we know him since we've played on their Depot server. He's grilling 'em pretty good and rightly so. The only thing I'm hoping is that someone of SHURB caliber will take the SDK and make the game into something better like they did with the original RtCW. They are talking about a WOLFPRO being released at some point for MP on PC.. as many of the Xbox 360 people keep stopping in the PC forums begging not to be left out. Really.. when they fire the Multiplayer Program team the day the game is released .. that's scapegoating. They knew the MP wasn't up to snuff; however, I also agree with Slayer.. I still am just happy the game is released and like what happened with ET.. maybe someone can improve this. It's a long shot.. but I'd gladly pay another $50 to get it set like we'd want for MP. Really. It oddly enough does have a Wolf feel to it.. and I still like it (despite the obvious issues). Id and Activision.. along with Raven.. are taking a beating on this one. On Friday the player count was 140 people.. (before we started playing in the evening).

I figure within a month.. we'll see what direction this game will go in. I'm gaming tonight btw!
