We'll have to agree to disagree then on how close it ended.

From my stand point if you cannot win your home state.. that's a really bad sign. Neither Romney nor Ryan got their state... and again, I agree with you on the marriage. Although, if that is what your state folks want to do.. that's your state. What I don't want to see is the Fed's try to tell *MY* state that we're expected to recognize that law here when we don't allow it. I think that's the bigger problem with the Fed. I mean, if Colorado and Washington wanna be pothead states.. or Nevada have prostitution.. it is entirely up to them; however, if they come to another state where it's against the law... well, it's against the law in that state. Should there be a consitutional ammendment... if states pass laws that allow their citizens to do or not do something.. then the consitution shouldn't be changed to punish them. This unfortunately gets into a very serious problem allowing that to be 'accepted' as law. They now can teach homosexuality in the schools in your state because it's not against the law. Then you start to wonder how early is too early for kids to be exposed to things like that. Sex in general.. 12? 7? 5? let alone something currently considered alternative.
Don't get me wrong.. this is a free country.. and if people choose to live that way, they should not be prosecuted by others. Well, you know I've talked this to death many times but we agree that passing the law was a mistake. Maybe 'real' marriage should start having the states recognize a term called "holy marriage" and then not allow gays to take that. Kinda like a copyright with regards to law.
