Snow is not the problem here (most areas can manage a few snow storms each year with liquid salt etc.), it's the ice and usually lots of it. What's the worst problem is that the snow melts during the day and freezes at night before you come home or go to work again.

Don't get me wrong.. 4' + of snow is crap as well. We just don't get cold weather like we used to here (err.. Ky anyway). I can remember many times when the temp got below 0 but you just don't see that much any more. Must be global warming.. nah.. just a phase. I certainly don't want to see that again.
Let them hate.. so long as they FEAR!

5inches?....yer a light weight  But seriously thats a lot for your area i'm sure. Hell if a good stiff wind started blowing we'd probably have 5inches blow off of our roofs lol. And ya gotta love the people that dont adjust they're driving to the conditions. People driving around like a bat outta hell and then they wonder why they go in the ditch. Lordy i'm with you...i'll take the cold over the snow, although -25 gets to be a bit much. I dunno about you guys, i'm ready for spring.

Me too zog, cept that in the winter time its about 70-75 degrees in my plant, they have no heat, thats just from the machines. In the summer however, they do have 7 huge industrial air conditioners on the roof, to keep the machines cooled, so it stays about 50-55 degrees in there.
