Thanks to ein mentioning something about lordy posting a config for cod4, i actually read the forums to find it.
Not sure if it helped my fps or not, but the new version yitch3 sure did drop my ping down a bit, also, for zog's interest, there is a sniper config as well, i haven't tried it, but it sounds interesting

no prob. The yitch 3 config gives me lagless gaming and 125 FPS most of the time. I love it. I saw the sniper config as well a while back but there was no way in hell I was going to share that with anyone.

i dont really do a whole lot of sniping, at least not in the conventional sense, i snipe with a rpd or saw and an acog scope, but the config may help mine as well, just haven't tried it yet, I'm thinking about it though
